We recently decided to put the boys into a room together. This means we need to refurbish another dresser! There was a main reason for this. I needed an office! I was running Shawn Ann from our living room and I was just running out of room for review items and running out of patience with Xavier staying out of everything.
The boys are bunking together and I have an office!
Not long after Xavier was born, we put Thaddeus into our bedroom and Xavier took over his bedroom. We took the spare bedroom, which was my office at one time because we wanted both boys close to each other and we didn’t want either of them right off of the living room. So, Thaddeus got a huge bedroom all to himself because he has so much crap!
Fast forward to this past week when I decided it was time to room the boys together and I get an office back. My first choice wasn’t to move my office into Xavier’s room but to move it into the spare bedroom or our bedroom to be exact. The only problem was I didn’t really feel like moving all of Xavier’s things and then moving all of our things. While trying to figure out where to put all of Xavier’s things in Thaddeus’ room we realized that there wasn’t going to be enough room if Thaddeus kept the same dresser he had.
Craigslist here I Come to Refurbish Again!
I found this really cute looking dresser that would be perfect for Thaddeus. Little was right, it’s a pretty small dresser, but it’ll work and it was $10!
It was a super old dresser and it’s a bit dinged up. However, it’ll do its job for the time being. Thaddeus decided that he wanted the dresser to match his room. So, I painted it the same brown color as the “ground” on his walls. The drawers are the same blue as the “sky”. We purchased some handles; which cost more than the dresser did! and he’s got a new dresser!
We’re still working on finding places to put everything and get the room all situated, but it’s a start. Now we just have to get Xavier used to being in a new room. He’s not digging that part too much!
Check out the other dresser I refurbished!
