When fall time comes, there are so many great things to do in Michigan. One of the newest attractions we’ll take part in from now on will be Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village! We are already super fans of going to Greenfield Village throughout the year because of all the great historical things you get to see and learn, but there is just something about going in after hours and seeing the place at night with the ghosts and goblins around!
Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village
Since this was our first year attending, we weren’t sure what to expect. So, I’m going to tell you right here and now that you want to dress up! At least, allow the kids to dress up and enjoy the evening. Most of the attendees are dressed in their Halloween costumes, including the adults! You don’t have to, but I’m sure it is a lot more fun for everyone if you are.
Next, be ready for some walking. We walked for about 2 hours throughout Greenfield Village, following a jack-o’-lantern path and you could spend even more time if you were to stop at each attraction and watch the performances and listen to the storytelling. It is also very crowded so be ready to wait to see some of the attractions!
Frightfully Fun for the Whole Family
Stroll down streets and alleys haunted by over 1,000 carved jack-o’-lanterns and lavishly costumed characters during America’s most spooktacular Halloween event.
Enjoy our historically themed Hallowe’en event. Follow a mile-long, curving path illuminated by the flickering light of hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns and meet classic costumed characters along the way. Feel the chilly whoosh of air as the Headless Horseman rides out of the shadows of Firestone Farm’s fields, and banter with witches, wizards and dancing skeletons. They’re everywhere along Jack-o’-Lantern Boulevard. The good news is that you can bring the entire family. This is a kid-friendly, nightmare-free Halloween gathering.
October 10-12, 17-19 and 24-26, 2014 – Time slots are every 1/2 hour 6:30pm-9pm Fridays & Saturdays. Sundays 6:30pm – 8pm

I love GFV/THF, but have never been to this event. Definitely want to try to go one of these years!
We plan to go there on Saturday! Can’t wait as we have never been there for Halloween!
Great coupon. I love Greenfield Village – I’ve only gone once in the fall though, usually it’s during the summer. They had a nice pumpkin display when I went, too.
How fun! It’s been such nice weather. Perfect for this.
We went on Saturday and it was perfect. Wasn’t too cold and not windy at all. Made for a nice fall evening. Started out still light out and got darker throughout the trail.
I haven’t been to that event yet. ;)
I have never been before. Looks like a fabulous event!
I haven’t been to Greenfield Village in years! This looks like SO much fun
Love The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village. We visit often. I have never attended this event, we will be waiting til the girls are a bit older.
Goodness, we’ve been here a little over a year and have never heard of Greenfield Village. We’ll have to go check it out!
You will love it! There is so much to learn at Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum.
I can’t wait to go too! I’ve never been before, but it looks awesome!
that looks like such fun, loved the photos of the carved pumpkins by day and by night. We have several places here in Maine that do things like this, but I have to say we’ve never been.
My kids would love to go here and have the this experience. They love Halloween and dressing up. They love seeing carved pumpkins too.
