It isn’t that often that you get to meet athletes. However, there are certain times of the year when members of the Detroit Red Wings go out in public for signings. We recently went to an autograph signing and met Andreas Lilja of the Detroit Red Wings!
He isn’t the first Red Wing that we’ve been able to meet and get an autograph from, but this is the first time I got some pictures!

He was such a great guy. Had no problem signing Thaddeus’ jersey and a page in my Hockeytown book. He even took the time to take several pictures with us.
What did he do to my shirt? Did he write on it?
It was so cool to have him sign Thaddeus’ jersey, while he was wearing it. I had to laugh because he was more interested in seeing what Andreas did to his shirt than anything. I know that Thaddeus is too young to remember this opportunity, but I’ll remember it for ever!
Growing up in Michigan, you have to be a sports fan for your local teams. I am a HUGE sports fan, so being able to go to these autograph signings to meet some of my favorite local teams is a joy for me.
